Project: Printing a Goofy Pal
What I Did
For this project, I designed and 3D printed a small, goofy character model for a friend. The model was created in Onshape and printed on my Ender 3 using PLA filament. I chose a bright yellow filament to make the character stand out.
Why I Did It
I wanted to practice my skills in 3D modeling and learn more about calibrating my printer for intricate details. More importantly, it was a fun way to create a unique, personalized gift for a friend who loves silly stuff.
What Went Wrong
The first few prints failed spectacularly! I had major issues with bed adhesion, and the prints would warp and peel off the build plate mid-way through. I eventually realized my Z-offset was slightly off and I needed to increase the bed temperature. It took three tries, but the final print was a success!
